Quote the bathroom on-site. Get the deposit before you rough in.
Fixtures, rough-in, hot water and drainage. Sumitt turns the walk-through into a clean plumbing quote your client accepts and pays on, from their phone.
Your rate card builds the price while you walk the job. No kitchen-table maths at 9pm.
Your client opens the quote on their phone, picks an option and e-signs.
They pay the deposit on the same link, so the money is in your account before you begin.
Built for plumbers, not adapted for them
Every figure below is read from the Plumbing rate card, takeoff engine and hazard library inside Sumitt when this page renders. It cannot say more than the product does, and it moves the day the card does.
The Plumbing rate card

Australian guide rates factored across 10 regions, every one of them editable. Guidance, not gospel.
The takeoff engine
Say it like this. The engine reads the scope, works out the quantities, prices them off your card and tells you what it assumed. Deterministic arithmetic; no AI touches the numbers.
- “bathroom reno with new toilet, vanity and shower”
- “swap hot water to heat pump”
- “replace 2 toilets like for like”
The safety pack
A SWMS drafted from the job you priced, with the plumbing hazard set on top of the common site hazards.
- Roof & stormwater work
- Rough-in & excavation
- Fit-off, hot works & gas
Priced lines add their own: Waste disposal & tip runs.
Extra PPE: Gloves for waste/sewer work (biological); Respirator when soldering or working in roof spaces.
3 site questions to confirm before sign-off.
You review it against the site, edit it and sign. Sumitt prepares the paperwork; it does not assess your site or make your business compliant. Safety packs are part of Pro, and the free trial includes Pro.
Compliance certificates
Gas compliance certificate and Plumbing compliance certificate (on by default) are on the rate card.A compliance certificate record lives on the job: the certificate, the test results and your state’s lodgement deadline, in every state.
Lodgement stays with you, on your regulator’s portal. Sumitt prepares the record and never lodges it. Not legal advice.
Price books
Import your supplier’s or wholesaler’s price list and quote from real trade prices instead of a guide rate. Every line stays editable on the quote.
Books, exports and the rules
Paid invoices land in Xero as drafts, and quotes, invoices and payments export as CSV. Sumitt warns when a deposit sits over your state’s cap or a total crosses a state licensing line, and never blocks.
The Trade Rate Index shows the benchmark cost of the jobs plumbers quote most and the rates that leave a floor, healthy or premium margin, derived from the same rate cards. Not a survey, not advice.
Straight answers
Does it price per fixture and per rough-in?
Yes. Toilets by grade, basins, vanities, sinks, showers, baths, troughs and taps are per-fixture lines, water and waste rough-ins are per fixture, and pipe comes in PEX, copper and poly. Say bathroom reno and the engine counts the fixtures and the hidden rough-in behind them.
What about the compliance certificate?
The plumbing compliance certificate line is on the card by default and the gas certificate is a tap away. A compliance certificate record with the test results and your state's lodgement deadline lives on the job. You lodge with your regulator; Sumitt prepares the record and never lodges for you.
Hot water, drainage and gas?
Hot water units come in electric, gas continuous, heat pump and solar grades, with tempering valves and relocation as lines. Drainage covers DWV, floor wastes, gullies, trenching, sewer cut-ins, stormwater, CCTV and jetting. Gas points, cooktop connections and gas line runs sit in their own group.
Can I import my supplier's price list?
Yes. Import your plumbing supplier's price list and quote from real trade prices instead of a guide rate. Every line stays editable on the quote, and a like-for-like swap is priced without the rough-in it does not need.
Sumitt provides software and templates, not legal, financial or tax advice.
