Build your first quote

You’ll finish with: A priced, saved quote with a healthy margin, ready to send.

  1. Tap “✦ New quote” on your Home screen.

It’s the big purple button at the top. You’ll also find it under the Quotes tab.

In the app: Open the quote builder

  2. Pick your Trade, then fill Client name, Client mobile and Suburb / location.

The client mobile matters: that’s where you’ll text the quote link in the next tutorial. The whole rate card reshapes to your trade.

  3. Type the job size in the size field (Area (m²)).

The Rate breakdown appears as soon as there’s a number. Every rate in it is a 2026 AU average you can edit.

  4. Write the Scope of works, or tap the AI draft and let Sumitt write it.

One or two clear sentences beat a wall of text. E.g. “Supply and lay a 120 m² reinforced concrete driveway, 25 MPa, broom finish.”

  5. Tick the lines you need in “Cost build-up” and set the quantities.

This is where profit leaks die: mobilisation, removal and tip fees are all listed per trade. Missing something? Use “Add your own item” at the bottom of the list.

  6. Drag the markup slider until the gauge reads healthy.

The gauge moves with you: it shows when you’re working for free, when it’s too thin to be worth it, and the moment the margin is healthy. It warns you below the minimum margin you set in Settings.

  7. Tap “Save quote”.

It lands in your pipeline as a draft. Nothing goes to the client yet.
