Set your deposit, interest and cancellation policies

  1. Open Settings → Policies.

    This is where deposit caps, interest and progress payments live.

  2. Set your Deposit cap % and tick “Require a deposit before work starts”.

    AU residential deposits are capped around 10%. Sumitt warns you above it.

  3. Turn on “Progress payments” if you bill in stages, not just deposit-then-wait.

  4. Tick “Charge interest on overdue invoices” if you want it, and set the Annual interest rate %.

    Interest only ever applies if the accepted quote carried your Interest clause wording. It’s never invented after the fact.

  5. Write your Cancellation policy and Variation policy in plain English.

    These show up on the quote the client actually signs, not just buried in a contract nobody reads.
